Perfect Easy Rainbow Fruit Kabobs are a delightful way to enjoy fresh, colorful fruits, making them ideal for healthy fruit snacks or summer party appetizers. These vibrant skewers are not only visually appealing but also incredibly simple to prepare, requiring no cooking at all.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
1 cup mandarin oranges, canned or fresh
1 cup pineapple chunks, fresh or canned
1 cup green grapes, halved if large
1 cup blueberries
1 cup kiwi, peeled and sliced
1 cup purple grapes, halved if large
Wooden or bamboo skewers (6-8 inches long)
1 cup yogurt (vanilla or plain)
1 tablespoon honey (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the fruits by washing them thoroughly under cold water to remove any pesticides or residue. If you're using canned fruits, drain them well to avoid excess moisture that could affect the kabobs' integrity.
Cut the strawberries, kiwi, and larger grapes if necessary. Make sure all pieces are about the same size (approximately 1-inch chunks) for uniformity on the skewers.
Take a skewer and begin assembling your kabobs. Start with a strawberry half, then add a mandarin orange, a chunk of pineapple, a green grape, a blueberry, and a slice of kiwi. Repeat the process until the skewer is filled, leaving some space at each end for handling.
Continue assembling skewers until all the fruit is used. Aim for a colorful pattern, alternating between different fruits.
If desired, mix the yogurt and honey in a bowl to create a sweet dip. Adjust the honey to taste.
Serve the Perfect Easy Rainbow Fruit Kabobs on a platter, either by themselves or with the yogurt dip on the side.
