Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until the crumbs are well coated.
  2. Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Chill in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes to set.
  3. In a small bowl, dissolve the orange gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved, then add 1 cup of cold water and set aside to cool slightly.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  5. Slowly pour the cooled orange gelatin mixture into the cream cheese mixture while continuing to beat on low speed until smooth.
  6. Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
  7. Pour the creamy filling into the chilled graham cracker crust and smooth the top evenly.
  8. Cover the pie and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the filling is set.
  9. Before serving, add extra whipped topping on top and garnish with orange slices or zest if desired.
