  1. Begin by preparing the broccoli. Wash the florets under cold water, then chop them into bite-sized pieces. Ensure they are thoroughly dried.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli, cherry tomatoes, chopped red onion, shredded carrots, raisins or dried cranberries, bacon (if using), and sunflower seeds. Stir gently to mix.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey (or maple syrup), and Dijon mustard until smooth.
  4. Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss gently until all ingredients are well coated.
