A delightful combination of sweet and salty that is perfect for summer gatherings. This no-bake treat features a crunchy pretzel crust, creamy filling, and a vibrant strawberry topping.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 cups crushed pretzels
¾ cup granulated sugar
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
8 oz whipped topping
6 oz strawberry Jell-O
2 cups boiling water
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix well until the pretzels are evenly coated. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Place the crust in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until it’s lightly golden brown. Allow it to cool completely.
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped topping until combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
In a large bowl, dissolve the strawberry Jell-O in 2 cups of boiling water, stirring until completely dissolved. Allow the mixture to cool for about 30 minutes, then add the sliced strawberries.
Pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer in the baking dish. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
