Celebrate Independence Day with a delicious and visually stunning treat: 4th of July Chocolate Covered Strawberries. This festive dessert is not only easy to make but also perfect for summer gatherings, barbecues, and holiday celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound Fresh Strawberries, washed and dried thoroughly
8 ounces Dark Chocolate, high-quality chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
4 ounces White Chocolate, for drizzling and decorating
Red, white, and blue sprinkles (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
Rinse the strawberries under cold water and pat them dry using paper towels.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until fully melted and smooth.
Hold a strawberry by the green stem and dip it into the melted dark chocolate, swirling it gently to coat about two-thirds of the strawberry.
Place the chocolate-covered strawberry on a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart.
Melt the white chocolate using the same method as the dark chocolate. Transfer it to a piping bag or a small plastic bag with the corner snipped off.
Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the dark chocolate-covered strawberries in a zig-zag pattern.
If using, immediately sprinkle the red, white, and blue sprinkles on top before the chocolate sets.
Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden completely.
